View Full Version : Woot! Just got asked to help in B17, A26, and B29 restoration.

Will be doing interior of B17 from bomb bay aft. After that Intruder and Superfort over winter. Except for the Tbolt /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif The museum has all USAAF Fighters & bombers so am hoping to finnagle my way into cockpits of as many as possible.

Most of the other VOLUNTEERS are engineers retired from the AFB. I'll be pulling Yeoman's duty for sure but it will all be IN the bird.

Edit: On the Fort there will just be 3 of us.

yea i'm helping get a lancaster restored to flying condition as well, i dont do much but just the feeling being inside the cockpit and turrets of that black beast is increbile.
