Poisoned needles? Full character customization and control? Marry me you fools!

Please tell me we get to see some of what the interviews are talking about for ourselves at GamesCon. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

08-20-2009, 01:55 AM
Features Revealed:
- You WILL get to visit tailors
- You WILL be able to upgrade your armor and purchase items to change your character's appearance, and be able to customize the color of Ezio's outfit.
- You CAN drive a carriage
- The Animus will have a database with info on landmarks and other things
- The gun is only ONE shot ONE kill, and you must aim, but the gun wont be accurate

Ubisoft has really, really, REALLY won my vote.

AC2 = GOTY for sure!

Gamespot's view on the demo (http://gamescom.gamespot.com/story/6215746/assassins-creed-ii-updated-impressions?tag=topslot;thumb;3)

Nothing new unveiled, but still interesting little nit bits.

08-20-2009, 04:46 AM
This game is going to be... There's no word good enough to describe how good this game is going to be! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

08-20-2009, 04:54 AM
Xanamazing. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

When they said that the Assassins went 'underground' I didn't think they'd mean literally.

08-20-2009, 04:57 AM
Wow. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif This game is sounding amazing, I hope we get to see that gameplay demo one day.

One day we might actually get the game. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif
But yeah, we need a serious playthrough some time soon.

08-20-2009, 07:02 AM
Thanks for putting these together, and one I hadn't read as well. Thank you very much.

08-20-2009, 09:18 AM
No problem, glad i can help

08-20-2009, 05:39 PM
Thank you TC. These are good reads.

08-21-2009, 07:42 AM
Am I the only one worried this game is going too far with RPG style and getting too much alike with Prince of Persia?

08-21-2009, 07:46 AM
Nope. I've actually been called a whiny pr**k for saying ubi was recycling ideas from PoP.

08-21-2009, 08:03 AM
I'm afraid they're somehow losing the AC baseline...

08-21-2009, 08:18 AM
I'm in the same situation as thekyle0. I'm not to worried about the RPG elements, doesn't sound like anything major, only that he gains some abilities as the game progresses (AC1 did that too) but the thing that raised a red flag was the part about hitting switches to go underground, hitting switches to proceed. I am almost 100% sure that a small button that is almost impossible to reach unless you are well trained in Parkour is not the ideal device people would use to open doors 500 years ago.

I found another article.

http://g4tv.com/games/pc/57593...mesCom-2009-Preview/ (http://g4tv.com/games/pc/57593/assassins-creed-ii/articles/68209/Assassins-Creed-II-GamesCom-2009-Preview/)

I was surprised to read a particular nugget about "human shields".

Damn kyle, you're good!

maybe you can post it in the video thread too so C-swain will upload them all?

EDIT: after reading the article, I do start to believe there will be some kind of a healing device other than the doctor. It's said "as well as purchase apothecary items like medicine and poison"

As someone have already suggested, maybe Atmon or Raide can explain this?

2nd EDIT: Have you noticed that when Ezio threw the coins, the guard killed the bystanders? I think it's safe to assume that the Creed no longer applies.

08-22-2009, 08:46 AM
@Danvish: I'm with you mate. I really hope AC2 is not turning into a Prince of Persia spin-off kind of thing. The game should still be great though.

@Swain: LOL! Hahah, you made me crack-up. XD

08-22-2009, 08:56 AM
it wont become a PoP spin of. The developers wouldnt be that stupid.

Thanks for the article Kyle

08-22-2009, 09:54 AM
At least the vast majority of these underground things will be optional so that we can just do them when we feel like it instead of suffering from arbitrary gameplay.

08-22-2009, 10:28 AM

Has anyone read my 2nd edit? about the creed probably died?

08-22-2009, 10:36 AM
yeah idk bout that, i think the rules have changed.
