Just finished this piece of art. (I hope http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )
I hope you like it.

It resembles a scene from Wings Over Citadel.
Ju 88's escorted by JG 52 heading towards Prokhorovka to target elements of the Soviet 5th Guards division. As rainclouds have packed targeting gets very difficult.

However soon they will face even greater difficulties as they are being stalked by Soviet Yak's, who are following the group of plane's closely but unnoticed.

I hope you guys like it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Let me know your opinions.

Lil edit, added some extra shadow under the wing tip of the lead plane.

The B-25 Star's and stripes. I can remember that one. But I cannot find it. Do you happen to have a link for me? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Lovely! If only we had clouds and lighting like this in-game.

A tip regarding perspective. Assuming the bombers are on an identical course and that they're all wings-level, for each plane, a line "drawn" through the wingtips and extended into the distance should more or less converge toward the same point in space as for the others in formation.

I say this because the orientation of the two trailing bombers appears to be a bit too similar to the leading pair. We should have a slightly more face-on view angle for the two trailing ones.

How did you capture and then place the bomber images (as a group as seen here, or did you grab individual views and then place them manually)? And what was the field of view setting (the appearance suggests a somewhat more zoomed-in view for the bombers than for the scenery).

Sorry for the criticism! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Absolutely stunning!

Would you by any chance, happen to have a 1920X1200 resolution version?

Thanks

Gunny

I even have a 2400 x 1800 version. But Imageshack doesn't accept that size.

I captured them individually.
Zoomed yes. No offense taken btw. If anyone has criticisms please say. I rather have something to learn than that someone says it is perfect while it is not.

Someone at SimHQ even learned me I made a historical error. Even in Wings Over Citadel. He learned just from this screenshot http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.
Thus I will PM him today and ask him some advice and then I will do some research on that and correct it for WOC in a patch. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Great Wallpaper. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif
However it looks like that if the lower Bf-109 was to hold its course, it is on a perfect intercept course to fly straight into the upper Ju-88 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I know that there isn't much space where you could have placed them, but if the lower 109 had a flight attitude like his wingman, and if you relocate the upper one a little bit higher, i think it would look alright and the scene wouldn't look like a near-disaster http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif (dont get this wrong, your pic is still great).

I still want to do some updates to this one. Had some more comments on other forums so I want to edit this scene a little more. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
