View Full Version : You have been kicked.

Im fed up of seeing this message. I know this topic has been covered before but the thread I found related to a guy using ASE. Im using Hyperlobby. I can only connect to the UK dedicated servers. If I try to connect to anything else I get "connection Successfull" so I click "OK", then it says "transferring mission", then it says "connection terminated, you have been kicked from the server" or words to that effect. This happens wether I have the XP firewall on or not, and with a decent ping. Am I missing something? (apart from the war)

You been a bad boy? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

That occurs when you get banned, usually. I have been banned once from RCAF_FB because I have unintentionally destroyed many targets on friendly airfield. I was in B-29, when I released my ordnance I have realised I was releasing them on wrong targets, but I was too occupied with aiming to notice that on time. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

However, you may contact mods of specific server about issue, or you may wait 'till your ban expires (1 week?).

However if you can connect ONLY to UK_dedicated and on no other server (even those you have never visited) then it is something else in question (besides ban).

Its not that at all, I have never flown on these servers, and have a good record on the the few that I have.

I have never been a host but I think it has something to do with server settings.
In Czech War IIRC all hosts used same settings. After 4.01 I began getting kicked messages from time to time without no reason on my side.It came out later that majority of CW players had been experiencing kicking without a reason.

Generally every 5th mision was ended by a kick.

I had been banned once a couple of years ago under a different version of the game when FBD was auto banning people and when that happened, the server actually stated that you were banned...don't know if that is still the case or not...seems odd that you are getting a kicked message...is this warclouds by any chance? I had a similar problem right after 4.01 was introduced that was never fixed even though one or two of the admins were going to work on it...might be related.

It does include warclouds, yes. Infact with warclouds I have tried joining directly by typing in the IP from multiplayer in-game, still didnt work. Does it have to do with the :21000 port thing does anybody know?

I suggest you go to the WC forums and ask.

I have been banned from UKD1 a couple of times for bombing the wrong tanks (ooops) But the guys are friendly and will unban you as long as it was a genuine mistake.

Once you know the maps you wont do it any way, it was just cos I was a noob.

Strange that you cant get on, are you sure that noone has flown on your comp using another name? The server will ban by IP not by name. Do you use a router? if so you may have to forward some ports, although I didnt.

Where do you live? and what is your ping to these servers. I can only think that ping is the reason.

PS. You did some good ground attack on UKD1 today http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

sounds like ping kick, even if u ping under the limit u only have to touch the limit once and bam kicked.

Here's the correct answer...

You can't have a callsign ending in 0 (zero)

10-10-2005, 02:52 AM
Ahhhhhhh....... Given that I dont use a router, and my ping is within normally accepted limits, and theres noway my wife could have got online by herself and flown, the correct answer does indeed have to be that my username ends with a zero, three of 'em in fact. Many thanks to everyone for suggestions.

Does this now mean I have to re-install hyperlobby to change my username?

just click the disconnect/exit button and type in a new name then connect again - provided nooone else has that same name u should be alright.

good luck and happy flyinghttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

now i wish i had a solution like that

i'm sick of spending ages looking for, and connecting to a server only to be kicked for my ping within 5 minutes.

as sometimes i only have half an hour for online flying, many a time i have spent my entire session connecting and getting kicked and repeating ad infinitum.

before anyone suggests it yes getting BB would solve my prob but i cant afford it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Thanks for help, it now works a treat.

In the early days of BB, I had to give up smoking to pay for it (orders of the mem sahb).

Good u sorted it.

As someone else said.
Some servers have set limits to ping and if one have too high one gets kicked.
There also seems to be pasword protetcted servers or that u have to register to be able to play.

It has to do with the server "anticheat" settings. Some machines, particularly those with slow hard drives or slow front side buses, suffer really bad ping spikes or packet loss during mission load. There are a couple of servers I can't join as the slow down in net transfer associated with mission load combined with my trans Pacific ping adds up to a ping spike/"packet loss" greater than the server settings allow for.

Edit: Should read the whole thread, I see Dogstar sorted his issue and it was unrelatd to my observations http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
