Dragonfly is overmodelled. With patch, I say 6 years.

It can be done right now, with real sounds and fullworld terrain. It all depends on the coders.

BOB models are not as complex in poly count as touchys models but look very very close.

I have to see it to believe.

We already saw some screenshots from Oleg´s BOB and they are absolutely beautiful, but what about machines that can take out the most of something like that? I mean graphics with such detail and keep them fluid and without stutters. A real sim. I guess they are only reserved to the millionaires and military.

On the other end I guess that in order to achive such a sim, the development team would have to model a lot less aircraft than the gargantuous numbers we have at IL2 series.

I refrain myself from criticicizing the team (I did it once though) because I cannot do it better than they did. I imagine that modelling such a huge quantity of aircraft, fixing something will proly mess with another one.

I think that such a level cannot be obtained if large quantities of aircraft are made flyable.

Clarkes 3rd law:

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

Maybe the technology will exist in our lifetimes to fool the senses enough to make games indistinguishable from real life.

As cool as it sounds to have a game where your senses are totally fooled, I forsee lawsuits out the wazoo from people that die from fright.
