I have owned Il-2 for quite a while now. It was just last night that I decided to fly online and let me tell you it was awesome! There was 20 people playing in the same game and it was almost non stop action. Except of course me dying and taking off again. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Sounds like it was a lot of fun. What server did you play on?

Assuming you are speaking of IL2-FB+AEP+PF, the 54th runs a dedicated server (wonderwoman views http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif ) that is a lot of fun. A teamspeak server is usually available, as well, so you can join in on the conversations between pilots.

Regardless of whether or not it was the 54th server, welcome to the virtual skies! You will find some pilots less experienced than the rookie AI, but you will find many virtual pilots more challenging than ace AI. And if you ask them nicely, many of them will teach you how to improve.

Remember to record tracks and u will discover all the secrets and tricks faster.
Above all u will be able to improve your deflection shooting.
To know where nearest clouds are is usually good.

I fear its too late to be able to quit now when u have tasted it....go get them!

Welcome to the online skies! It's habit forming. I flew offline for about 9 months before daring to go online. Once on...man it was a blast. Once you start feeling comfortable and want a bigger challenge flying with cockpit locked, come over to Greatergreen, Warclouds or a few others (I don't have much time to get to a few of them). It really becomes a blast. Also another hint, know where your friendly airfields are located and if in trouble fly there to get help from your flak guns, as well as fellow flyers. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
