Hey here's another RS:V info.

The game has apparently been in development for 2 years now, and duties have been handled by Ubisoft Montreal (this is good news since the fabled Montreal studio also handled work on the original Splinter Cell, as well as Chaos Theory and the first Prince of Persia game). Vegas will also be using a proprietary engine developed specifically for the game.

Players will take control of a single character, and interact with 2 or 3 squad mates who will have their own unique personalities, they will also engage in conversation and argue in real time during the mission. Ding Chavez will make a return, but not be the player controlled character.

The game's story will evolve in a manner similar to the way in which the story for Half Life was told, through the characters first person viewpoint, and with no "cinematics" to speak of. Environments will feature a high amount of destructibility and interactivity, you'll be able to rappel down the sides of buildings and down ropes from helicopters. Similar to Raven Shield, commands will be issued on the fly during a mission, there will be no pre-mission planning scenario.

Finally, the game will feature a Halo style health system wherein the player will regenerate health if he or she is able to stay out of fire for long enough. Sounds like some major changes are being made to the franchise, and after the uh... incident that was Rainbow Six: Lockdown it might be for the best.

No! No health regeneration! It's supposed to be more realistic. Not more like halo. More like Rainbow not Halo. What are you doing, Ubisoft? That doesn't make sinse. Please tell me that's only in campaigne. Someone please.
