The two new bunkers R1 {machine gun bunker with 3 machine guns} and R2 {canon bunker with 2 cannons} in 4.07 are very good modelled. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif
Beside looking very real , they got working guns, they are a true addition to the game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
Bunkers like these have walls as thick as 30cm up to 100cm, they could be destroyed only by direct bomb hit like SC100 or SC250 {I doubt that a single 50KG bomb could do the trick}.
And direct hit with ground artillery, at least 50mm calibre.
I noticed R1 and R2 are very vulnerable, and can to easely be knocked out by even light flak like 20mm. from quiet a distance, wich I think is not very real.

The new trenches and gun dug outs {object 522 up to 529} are also a very nice addition. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
The new gun dug outs {4 different types for different callibre guns} looking very realistic with the proper guns placed in them.
But, I noticed that most artillery placed in the gun dug outs does not function anymore, and therefore cannot play an active part in battle.
I tested this and and for example the russian 45mm atg and 115mm ZIS and 150 or 152mm howitsers or other field guns, when placed in a dug out do not function anymore.

Some time back when the german Atlantic wall bunkers came out {object 146 to 151} I placed guns in the two emptie gun bunkers object 149 and object 150, to my dissapointment the guns did not function anymore.
May be this is related to object 154 and 155 having a roof structure and this is due to game machine restriction.
The concrete open gun emplacements object 146 and 148 do function properly, with any type of gun placed in them.

I hope it is possible to adjust the bunkers and dug outs
Because the release of last {?} patch is coming soon, hope it is not to late to adjust bunker damage and gun functioning.

Good luck to you all

All bunkers seem to be unrealistically vulnerable even to rifle caliber fire while others like unprotected 2cm flak can sustain even long bursts from up to 12 mg's without failing.
All in all, damage model seems to be the only real weakness in this sim.

Good heavens, is that the case?

Luckily this isn't an artillery sim then http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I tested the Artillery and got them to work in the dug outs by destroying the dug out object first.

Well I ment damage model in general, not only concerning artillery....
