Can't believe there are so many lagers and pilseners in the list. They're all well and good in their place but if you want BEER then you have to try:
1. Rochefort (8 or 10) (hell, the 6 is great, too)
2. Westvleteren 12
3. Samuel T***sten's Nutty Ale (forget the full name of the brewer)

I drink a lot of different kinds but these are the ones I buy any time I see them, especialy the top two.

Schwarz.13

1.) Tyskie/Zywiec/Lech

2.) Furstenberg/Budvar

3.) Any good Bavarian wheat beer e.g. Schneider Weisse or Pinkus Hefeweizen (organic)

I REFUSE to drink any beer which is not brewed with ONLY natural ingredients!

Have to when summer weather is around. 97 degrees F and humidity so high you feel like you're breathin' through a wet sock dictates some light weight beer. So between disc golfin' and yard work a nice little "Lawnmower" hits the spot.

I think this weekend may be the last time I mow the yard for 2007 though. Different beers will be in order for the holidays! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

What! Where is the elixir of the gods? The one constant in my turbulent world, the drink I was weaned on as a boy.

Yes, you've guessed it "Banks Mild Ale".

Followed by a bit o'lumphammer.

Then some cat pee lager, possibly wife beater(aka Stella Artios).

Shep' and Neame beers are very Kentish, it's center of 'hop' country so they do use a lot.

As to Abbott v drinkable but I'm currently boycotting Greene King due to their buisness practices and the fact that they use hop oils not hops (when it comes to beer I'm old school).

Don't you love how the ratings don't seem to reflect it's drinkability? (to me anyway)

I haven't had that beer, but the beers I like to drink tend to have mid-level ratings. Anything with high ratings is a beer I can only enjoy one of, then I need to move on.

I guess beer ratings are like movie ratings. I like what the critics hate. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

This is what we Britisher types mean when we refer to a 'session beer'.

I love nothing more than a pint or two of heavy dark strong beer by an open fire but the same beers do not fit a good 'session' when often a lighter malt bitter with a lower abv (3.6 - 4.0 is about right upto 4.5 if one does not have work the next day) is what's called for.
Such session or tap beers are not the ones I would immediatly think of when asked about my favourite beers but are an important part of the beer spectrum.
