Blimey!!!

He'll be so much cat food if his trouser leg gets caught in that belt.

There are several bikes that have been done sporting a smallish radial engine like the one shown here.

Interesting as works of art, but like all choppers, poor riders at best.

Driveway jewelery is what I call 'em.

Those were rotary engines and it would be cool to see one on a bike as long as I'm not the one riding it.

Didn't those old rotaries also cause intestinal issues in pilots due to them leaking large amounts of castor oil (required due to the nature of the bearings and cams and so on).

I would have intestinal issues just dealing with the torque let alone the castor oil! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Imagine the torque on a motorcycle with one though! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

could you imagine that big engine spinning away not even 6 inches away from your family jewels..! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

With a rotary you might end up with a bike only good for left turns! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I quite agree. Below we have 'Lucky' Keiser, an Aussie pictured in 1983 with his interpretation of "motorcycle with aero engine that handles."

Find a Merlin engine out of a Mosquito in your local scrap yard. Cut off rear cylinders, spend 300 hours making crank and cases to fit, add Holden 3 speed gearbox and er...Nitros Oxide! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

Result; 5 litre V twin, 500bhp http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
