i dont know what all this whining is about.. but whiners with no actual flying experience(let alone ww2 aircraft) expecting to hop in a ww2 warbird and have it perform at its peak is ludacris.

instead of wasting time complaining aircraft X is slow by Y km/h, or cant climb at Z m/s, they should spend that time actually learning how to fly the damn things.

note: there are certain fm aspects that we know as a bug fw rollrate, etc.etc..

mabey the fms havent gotten worse, they got too good for some of you..

the actual pilots go through a considerable amount of training, you pop in a cd and expect to fly like them?.

How do you explain the top online pilots complaining about the FM's? A lot of them are real pilots.

How do you explain the FM's changing so much with patches, when Oleg said they were right four patches ago?

real ww2 pilots? there is a huge difference between a Cesna and a p47, ive been behind the controls of a Cesna, and am a hell of a pilot in fb, but that dosnt mean i can hop in a p47 and fly it like the actual p47 pilots did.

as i understand it, they were as good as they could be "four patches ago", but he has improved the game and can now makd them(flight models) more accurate.

note: i am speaking strictly about the performance aspect of fm's, not the planes "feel", i would wellcome the p39 of the original il2 back for fb http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif as it is by all acounts what pilots described.

There are real pilots who have flown some of the planes in FB. Some of them are even WW2 pilots. Have you been on this forum long?

Davinci im looking foward to your next movie

but as far as FB is concerned ........ look at the P-40 speed that is quoted in the object viewer in FB

try to get thos speeds yourself

try to kill the LaGG motor

look at the way the Hurricane stalls

look at the reliability of the BF motors

look at the P-47 roll rate

look at the FW 190 roll rate

all the above are wrong

BTW i enter one DF room , have a few fights , leave , enter another & my plane is different

less speed , more stalls ... you name it ive noticed it

the planes in FB dont spawn with the same performance everytime

I have to second that! Literally millions of HL users are in their late 80's/early 90's and have all flown combat sorties in WW2. We even got pilots from WW1 there! And an odd handful who claim to come from some future WW3 and are -78 years old. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

One question: is Oleg real WWII fighter pilot?
YES or NOT

"How do you explain the top online pilots complaining about the FM's?"

I can explain in by breaking it down into 3 groups:

1. The top online pilots are flying every night, learning how to get the best of what Oleg has given them. They rarely complain, because they know that it's about learning the aircraft's pros and cons - and successful pilots (let's just say people) tend not to be big whiners http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
2. the engineers that love to argue about FM's are in here every night. They can't tolerate the difference between a 13m/sec climb and a 14m/sec climb.
3. then lastly, the 'hop on the complaint wagon' group, which is about 90% of the remainder come in here with a witch hunt attitude after getting shot down while TnBing in a p47 . Or they hear someone come in here say that 'This FM is soooo bad, this game sucks', so they ignorantly take that and think: he must be right, I'll say the same thing when I get shot down.

And - this idea that there are many old ww2 sitting around flying fb is silly.

The only one I recall complained about the muzzle flashes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Dunno. But I happen to know that he went with the Star Fleet to Zanussi 7 under operation "Justice For All".

I didn't know that. I would like to know some of their callsigns. I like the thought of flying with someone that has had those exeriences. Very cool. S!

This is all true, and I dare say 90% of all fm whines are totally invalid. But 10% of them have a point, so dont dismiss them out of hand. Fb is good, no doubt, but its far from perfect.
