Some of you may have noticed that JV44, The Redwulf Squadron usually host 1 or 2 so called "Desert Missions" on HL Fri. and Sat. evenings (21..24 GMT).

Even though there is Redwulf priority, guests are most welcome to participate. Lately quite a few have joined, some initially being surprised by the seemingly "Draconian" settings. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

See Redwulf Desert Missions (http://redwulf.adelby.dk/Desert/) for details on settings, rules and so on.

I was just reading your server rules - i have to say i'm impressed though i can see how many might regard them draconian. I love this one:

If shot down/bailed out, immediately go silent on comms/chat bar and remain so for the rest of the mission. Players remaining in the cockpit after surviving a crash landing may remain on comms/chat bar.

I'm still mainly an offliner and i can't navigate to save myself but i might pop by some night to 'remain silent on comms'! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You're more than welcome to join the fun, however, why on Earth would you want to remain silent (unless you of course plan on crashing right after take-off)? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Website corrected, in-plane surviving pilots are now allowed to speak and not just "remain" on comms/chat bar. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

~S~ Nis,

Good mission tonight; very good to know that all our beta-testing of these formats has been extremely worthwhile.

Also noted first incorporation of the famous "Blinkerlichten" into this forum! Much kudos!

See ya in de virtual skies!

S! Rob,

Yes, last nights Desert mission was a blast, I think everybody taking part enjoyed it. For those that unfortunately crashed out - we will be hosting more.

Meanwhile, I've put up a preliminary IL2MLR debrief (http://redwulf.adelby.dk/Desert/Debrief20080516.htm). I plan on making an "RVT" (http://redwulf.adelby.dk/Rvt2) style website for the Desert Missions.
