View Full Version : Big favor needed from a CH owner

I have the CH Fighterstick and Pro Pedals (the throttle I hope will be added this Christmas). Here's what I need. Your settings on both the CH control manager, and the IL-2 stick input. I have my both my X and Y axis set @ 65 for sensitivity, and one click up for gain and response settings. My rudder is set the same.

These are my conf.ini settings from the game:

My problem is that no matter how much I tweak,the feel is sluggish. I had a Thrustmaster Pro that cost abot #30.00 US and it felt better than this. I know CH is the holy grail of sticks and I really like the hardware and software, but I'm doing something wrong here. It's just plain clunky to fly now and I'm on the cusp of just parking the IL-2 CD.

Have you tried recalibrating your CH stick? You may not be getting the full effect if your stick is out of whack. It happens from time to time..I must say it's rare, but it does happen.

start game and set all your in game axis settings to 100%, others settings leave at default, close game.

then use the control manager to tweak your settings to your preferance. i would start with default and tweak each axis curves 1st, before messing with senitivty

it looks to me that the way you have it now, your actually playing with 2 curves on each axis setting, one from game and one from control manager, thats why it feels so sluggish.

They are not perfect but they work well at all occasions. I change the curvature of the pedals from the CH manager one notch downwards.

Very often and for no reason I get reduced sensitivity or input of one of the axes getting stuck to one side. After uninstalling/reinstalling Ch gear and drivers this gets fixed.

Mine is just like chaikanut, except I have the parabolic curve on the rudder access also, I changed it after 4.02 so I could more finely control the rudder.

In ch manager, all the curves are linear. Ch manager only has 6 canned curves per axis, I feel you have a lot more control over this in PF.

Thanks guys. Von_Rat, you got my attention with the comment about juggling two curves, also your comment diomedes33 about PF having more control. I guess I'll go to default in the CH control manager.

Have you tried the new CH drivers??
I am digging the new ones- the gradient toe brake is the bomb!
I'll need to check my settings later on, but I think they are a slower curve than default

edit: I checked mine, they are like the above settings.
I'm curious as to the other settings in the CH manager...hmm...
