Tested above sea (to keep the turns horizontal) at loaded weight and full ammo, radiators closed and prop pitch 100% or Auto (german planes).

Model / time for 360 degrees sustained turn / sustained speed in FB / turn time in RL / sustained speed in RL

Bf109E4 / 21 / 260 / 19 / 270
Bf109F4 / 20 / 280 / 18 / 300
Bf109G2 / 19 / 280 / 20 / 320
Bf109G6 / 22 / 280 / 20
Bf109G6late / 22 / 280 / 20
Bf109G6/AS / 20 / 290 / 20
Bf109G10 / 20 / 290 / 20
Bf109K4 / 21 / 310 / 21 / 340
Me262 / 31 / 330 / 20 / 480
Fw190A5 / 21 / 310 / 23
Fw190A9 / 21 / 340 / 23
Fw190D9 / 22 / 340 / 22 / 350

Yak1 / 20 / 260 / 20 / 260
Yak1b / 18 / 270 / 18 / 280
Yak9 / 18 / 280 / 18 / 280
Yak3 / 16 / 300 / 18 / 300
Yak9U / 19 / 300 / 20 / 300
Lagg3 '41 / 21 / 270 / 21
Lagg3 '43 / 19 / 280 / 19
La5 / 20 / 270 / 21
La5F / 19 / 280 / 20
La7 / 16 / 300 / 18 / 320

P39N / 18 / 280 / 19
P39Q1 / 20 / 280 / 20 / 300
P40M / 19 / 260 / 19 / 260
P47D5 / 23 / 300 / 26 / 300
P47D27 / 24 / 300 /
HurricaneI / 20 / 250 / 18
HurricaneIIb / 21 / 230 / 19 / 270
HurricaneIIc / 19 / 250 / 19 / 260

As you can see there is a big improvement in accuracy over 1.0. Some planes are still overmodelled, most notably Yak3, La7 (others too like Fw190), some undermodelled like G6 early variants. I agree that if you get close to 1 sec to the historical performance then is accurate enough (especially when turn time rises with 1 sec).

Unfortunately turn radius is inaccurate on all planes and turn speeds on half of them.

At least they seem better than in fb 1.0 but how come VVS planes are always a second or two overdone and luftwaffe planes are underdone i find this very fustrating and wish oleg would fix this but it seems to be the trend ever since il2, especialy the f4 vvs have an advantage in just about every respect so surely oleg can give the luftwaffe planes their proper turn rates .....http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

still u never know maybe in next patch well just haveto wait and see!!

Thanks for the Chart Huckebein.

Good chart. Make more tests and check that the times are consistent. Where did you get the RL numbers?

I would really like to see YAK3 especially get a more realistic setting since 16 seconds instead of 18 makes a huge difference in a turnfight.

It also seems that there is a consistent bias on turnrate - Russian planes have too guick and german planes too slow. Maybe this will be addressed in the next patch.

Make really good and thorough observations and e-mail the address on the readme.doc.

Huckenbein where did u get the real life figures if they are a good source that means several planes are completely wrong in the object viewer especialy the 109e's and f's in object viewer the 109f4 has turn of 19-20 sec the 109e about 21 sec this seems realy unfair given the turn of vvs planes which the f4 should match.
I have heard many times that the f4 should have an 18 sec turn i wonder if oleg would take this into consideration, if not the turn of the luftwaffe planes is always gonna be undermodeled.....
