This in in relation to all the flight model issues that plague Il2FB and Pacific Fighers:

Have you considered a modular approach to the individual aircraft flight modelling?

It just seems the current method in the Il2 engine is a global style of physics/flight modelling which would explain why when wingers demand adjustments to particular aircraft and you do as the request in a patch, others get FUBARed. By implementing independence from aircraft to aircraft in B of B you will avoid this issue next time round.

As to the winers out there, realise the limitations of the Il2 physics/flight model engine of which FB AEP and Pacific Fighters are utilising. Il2 was not designed with suck expansion in mind and it is a miracle Oleg and Co. have been able to bandaid it to this extent.

I really hope the slate is wiped clean for Battle of Britain and some thought has been given as to how to implement additions to the series without compromising every plane when you do. As for now I will hold my purchases and wait to see what Oleg and his team can produce and I hope the community stop bugging them and allow them some space to concentrate on getting their next generation simulation engine out the door.

So, why you bugging them?

Hawk, there's an edit button on the bottom right of every one of your posts, so you can fix it after posting, neat eh? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And you really think it works that simple? That Oleg while making a game like this would change things as requested and by that mess up other planes? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
Too much speculation really. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif But yeah, lets give him the time he needs and enjoy the game as it is already, which is still really good. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

True. I still continue to hope that the forums implement a PREVIEW button though, so we can make our edits or corrections to typos before we post our reply.

Did you try reading what I had to say. No more of the current series but I am interested in what he produces in his next generation simulation. That's why.

Also my speculations on the current flight models are based purely on observation but it seems as though he working off a global model for flight models which would account for when changes are implemented to get some planes right others are completely changed. Every patch for the Il2 series has suffered from this issue and it does not lend credibility to the game. Still, can't say I didn't get some good times out of the Il2 series but now I'm over it and am having fun being a ground grunt with RO until Battle of Britain comes out.

A modular system where planes can be intorduced and individually tweeked with respect to their flight models would go a long way to producing a rock solid simulation.

Any other smart arsed retorts?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif

What we need once and for all is to have IL2-Compare give us graphs on everything of impotance in the sim we are now flying. So IL2 should also have zoom/climb and dive speed max, control tightening for speeds, acceleration in dives and level and such....

This way Oleg can then run IL2C with new patch, and then distribute and let use decide if its good.If it passes, then release the patch.Oh the IL2 world would then be a happy placehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
