Enjoy NZ, BSnakeman http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
The weather will be cool at night and in the mornings but you'll get some beautiful clear, warm days.
I'm a Kiwi but honestly I can't recommend the girls too highly (can feel the heat from the flames coming my way http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif). The word pear-shaped comes to mind. A good laugh though.
I live in Japan these days and find the girls more to my liking http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

Anyway, regarding air museumsI have been to Wigram air museum in Christchurch a couple of times. Last time was about 15years ago. IIRC there was an Avenger, maybe a Spit (there is one on a stick at the entrance to the Christchurch airport - a late model jobby). To be honest I can't remember at all. It's worth a look though. There was a Canberra and a Vampire or Venom. Can't remember much else. from time to time they offer rides in a PBY over the city for abou NZ$50 but that is really limited.
Just remembered, you HAVE to go to the Alpine Warbirds collection (or something like that) in Wanaka near Queenstown. They have restored I-16s, Yaks , maybe a Stuka or two and I think a Hurricane. If you are there at Easter there is a nice wee Warbirds airshow every second year. I've been to the show twice (saw a Spit vs 109 dogfight)but never to the museum.Just found a link http://www.nzfpm.co.nz

Anyway, have a nice time down there.
Cheers.

Namaste !
Hey FlatSpinMan thanks a lot for the info !
Yes, I´ll be in Queenstown for a few days and now that you´ve told me about all those warbirds in Wanaka I migth extended it a couple days.
Regarding the lassies I´m sure I´ll find some guitar-shaped ones, you know, I´m quite spoiled... been a Brazilian... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Take care !

If I was Brazilian I'd never leave the beach. Those women...!
An accent and a bit of exoticism go a long way with the girls in NZ. You should have a good time.

Later,
