View Full Version : Boonty Box: What is the workaround for Win98?

Anything yet?

The purchase window on UBI said nothing about not being compatible with win98, so what next? Workaround or refund? Please don't suggest that win98 is ancient and yaddie dah. This PC is purely an IL2 box and it's run on win98 perfectly for years now.

Is it just the BB that isn't win98 compatible? If the downloaded Il2-pe2.exe will work on win98 you could get a copy of that file from a friend you would be in business.

indeed that should work

I suspect there may be a problem with windows ME too

Looks like BB needs NT onwards

what a pain.

So, a presumably unzipped file burned to a CD, then when I install I have the key code that appeared in the UBI purchase window?

I wonder if UBI would be so kind as to FedEx me out a disk with a working game on it...

Just got off the phone with Ubi tech support here in the US. They suggested you contact UK ubi support. They had nothing on the boonty box install problem with win 98. Thats the best I can do on my end. IF anyone is interested, this is the phone number they gave me. I hope it makes sense to you.
