I was wondering if anyone had a good idea for keeping my "TrackIR pro4 6dof hat clip" on my nice black hat? I have found that on occasion my "hat clip" flips off my hat only to land somewhere under my table...and I'm trying to find a solution that doesn't make me look any "geekier" then I already do...

I'm hoping to avoid using "duct tape"...and I figure that their must be a few people out their that have found a modest solution...thanks

I use a black small binder clip, it works great for me. you can't see it at all really, so no additional geek factor.

Tie it to the hatband with dental floss -- that way when the clip flips, it'll be in easy reach instead of under the desk communing with the dust bunnies.

I just use two large paper clips one on each side. They are attached between the side reflectors and the large center one. Works like a charm and keeps things positioned without movement.

I never whar my hat away from the pc so I gave up on the clip and Hot glued my reflective Balls to the cap itself. I only used the clip as a jig for proper placement. Its all in my sig.

Used to have the same problem, 5 minutes with a needle and black thread fixes it.

Sew around each little leg of the clip about 6 or 8 times holds it straighter and never get flinnnng of the clip taking off.

Yes I do all the sewing in my house, comes from sewing on name badges and rank insignia while in the military, was to cheap to pay to have it done. Booze was more important.

Good suggestion. I've resisted fastening it permanently in case I bump it and it breaks instead of flinging behind the pc.

I have mine fixed with cable ties to my headset as i mainly fly on line whilst using teamspeak. works great.

Get the track-clip pro and attach it to your headset/mic and get rid of your hat altogether. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have that and I just cannot get that thing to act right no matter what I do.
