Is there any chance "The game" "SIM" whatever could read the conf.ini file more often ???

Like read it on "Esc" in Quick mission ??
AND when starting a new game ?

Reading it on a "replay" online is very important!

We could be experimenting good then http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Have different profiles for joystick for different planes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif bomber/fighter layouts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Please?

It now only reads it on start and writes it on stop of the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Any external program that tries to help is slowed down by this.
- The game has to be stopped and restarted http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif((((

Any tips would be most welcome too - do I have this right ? :

I wish the eventlog file could be opened while the game was running. Would be great to be able to see eventlog from inside the game, like Ye Olde DOS Su~27 Flaker 1.0 from 1995 offered complete "Debriefing" of combat events.

When they score internet Brownie Points, its a SIM. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
When they get shot down, its just a game. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Well I know a "sim" can't change behaviour that much over time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It's what "they" want - yeah - right - so - it's somewhat of a game and a real big bunch of a flightsim - but it's realy neither of them ;P - it's IL-2 !

And it does not contribute to this message/post either - I only want to know (and hope it will be implemented) if and hopefully it will be done...

"some guys are doing" yeah right... ok me too they tooo everybody happy?

don't cloud the subject!

conf.ini read while in-game on....

please...

I said @ Oleg and the question is clear...
Mind you I don't expect an answer - just not from you lot... well why not hehe
I'm now more busy with my MetaMis (http://airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=259) than with my IL-2Gizmo (http://airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=61) ...
And if you want to contribute to My Annotated "conf.ini" (http://members.home.nl/maxmhz/conf.ini.txt) (or any of myprojects) please do! Email is max.mhz <at> gmail.com

IL2Gizmo I had to restart once (wrong parser) - and that's what it's all about...

It's the ultimate control over IL-2
IF
it get read more often

And I didn't even start about DeviceLink but then ONLINE ENABLED.... lol ... how about that too

No they are not. The ROSS Exploit is not a design feature like the "Debriefing" you can read at the end of each Su-27 Flanker 1.0 mission, and read it in the Flaker's Mission Editor. Basically, in the Su~27 Flanker 1.0 Mission Editor, you have a menu item that brings up the Debriefing which reports the missile and cannon hits and kills that happened during the mission.

Would be sweet to see the eventlog file at the end of a mission, either inside FMB or QMB. Probably too late for FB/PF, maybe for BoB and Beyond.

I better watch my step here. Flanker had bizzare file types for this stuff -- mission files and probably the Debriefing files too. They make impossible (or at least very difficult) the building of Dynamic Campaigns by 3rd Parties. FB/PF has easy to read and write basic text file types for misson and eventlog files.
