I've been practing strafing with my favourite plane of late (cr42) and noticed the
the twin 50 cals are far more effective at destroying b17's (parked). Other aircraft with heavier armliments seem to take more shots to explode, like that bf109 series.

So I suppose I'm asking are they modeled with conformity?(like other 50 cals). Thank you very much.

Welcome to the forums mate http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Nah they're fine. Luckily, unlike the G.50, their guns are just like the US brownings and not the proper SAFAT (is that right?) guns, which are not as good. So they're not historically correct bu good http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

A few patches ago the SAFAT was a tad too powerful, now it's pretty much useless http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

You can hardly scratch the paint on most planes with the MC200/202/early205 - and mixed with their wild uncontrollable stall you find yourself in a death-trap.

I have a lot of respect for people who can kill online in one of these!

ad the G.50 , because it got also the "new" white SAFATs.
it looks like that the
Maddox team simpley forgot the Cr.42 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif , better dont wake them up , otherwise the Cr.42 will also be close to useless..........

put perhaps they will put some HE rounds in the SAFAT belt , propably they are missing in the games gun belt. and perhaps they will reduce the tracer "burn" time, in the moment it looks ugly how long they are visible http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Società Anonima Fabbrica Armi Torino

It's the producer of that weapon.

No mate, it doesn't affect P-40s (thank god http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)

It only affects Italian planes with SAFAT guns, i.e. all of the ones we have ingame http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Yea I hope so, and maybe just make the tracers a tad more transparent like it was done on all other weapons some patches ago (dunno exact version)

Maybe the Cr42 has the special Tiger killer ammo modeled.

Come to think of it I think I remember some Cr 42 pilots being interviewed saying that they could cut open a Sherman and even sometimes a Matilda with only a few rounds bounced off the hard gravel roads in North Africa.

You mentioned that you are shooting B-17s on the ground. I assume you are shooting static aircraft. If this is the case then it should be noted that it is not the same as shooting a plane in the air. Statics die with just a few hits from any round. Be it a .303 or 37mm.

Yeah that puppy was parked(static). But strafing the same B17's with other fighters was harder. I've even kept firing times the same amount time because most other crates close faster. It's probably just me being more accurate with the old girl. Thanks for you answers people http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I thrown about the same amount of rounds with both cr42 and mc200 VII they seem equal.
