View Full Version : PAX - Preorder T-shirt

I attended PAX in Seattle, WA this past weekend (Sept 3-5). For those who don't know, PAX is one of the only gaming conventions for the fans. Lots of companies come to show off new games and hardware and many, such as Ubisoft, let you have hands on experience. I was lucky enough to have gotten to play Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, which I must say is awesome! ACB was the highlight of PAX, except for one glaring misfortune, the T-shirt I received for pre-ordering the game (I actually waited for PAX to pre-order, knowing a shirt was involved). Many companies were giving away t-shirts for various reasons, for free, for playing, for waiting in line to see a demo, etc. I noticed one major difference in most of the shirts from last year to this year: I was able to get a SMALL shirt; a shirt that would actually fit my petit, female frame. Which was good since the attendance of women at this PAX was way more than last year and many of them were small, like me. Ubisoft was the only booth I knew of, that was not offering small shirts at all. I love the shirt I got from ACB, its blood red, with the Assassinís Logo on front, but it doesn't fit and that sucks. It was obvious that many of the companies that were at PAX last year realized that there was a demand for smaller shirts and that they had a growing market of gamers (women). But it seems that Ubisoft missed the boat on this one. Don't get me wrong, I love Assassin's Creed and have bought every game, but you disappointed me on this oneÖ

I own 2 Assassins Creed shirts at the moment, BOTH of which are Extra Large ( I wear a Medium http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif )
One of them I got from GAME as a kind of gift, and I couldnt complain since it was free, and all they had http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
The other is from a (BIG) friend, who didnt want it anymore. Again, it was free, so meh http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I WILL get one that I can wear with pride though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

XL is the most popular size for shirts. They outsell any other size so they generally make mostly if not all shirts in that size for promotional things.

Fortunately for me XL is my size so I tend to get exactly what I want when I get free shirts, but not always. I got a free shirt advertising the show Lie To Me from FOX network that's in a L size. It fits, but barely. I prefer a more loose fitting. So We all strike out sometimes when it comes to promotional swag t-shirts.

Ubisoft store is giving away a t-shirt from their online store that I think you can order in any size. I already ordered one myself.

After waiting for a long time and almost giving up on the 2K games booth we decided to head on over and see what else does PAX east have to offer. We crossed many cool game developers, but one of our favorites was Realtime Worlds with their upcoming All Points Bulletin. We were in the crowd and as the guy spoke we couldnít help getting excited about this game. We go a chance to see the graphics and the gameplay and let me be the one to tell ya that the graphics look amazing. The demo they had was for the PC, but you can tell that itís going to be a fun online experience once it comes out.
