Size limits apply!!!

Unfortunately signature sizes have got out of hand for some users.

Therefore the following rules will apply for signatures. Could everyone please check their signatures and ensure they meet these guidelines.

- Limited to one image per signature or a short text.
- 500 wide x 200 high maximum dimensions
- 40KB file size maximum
- 3 lines of additional text

....

NOTE: The file size limit applies to avatars too. Be wary of using animated .gif's in particular. Good animations are very big, even with quite small image dimensions

That was not an Emil, it had not square wingtips, but the round ones proper of later types, and lacked the Emil's struts for tail horizontal surfaces. And I doubt 109s to ever fight alone, except if all their schwarm had been shot down. Besides, all those guys did it real bad: flying straight and level without ever checking six... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

But, yes, it was fine.

"....optimum firing distance, 100 yards..."
"....109s bounce in the prop wash..."
"....fuel for only five minutes combat over England"

Will you be seeing this in BoB as well?

Seedfellow, there were TWO Spits, one got smoked the other returned to the 109s. In the film you see three airplanes, two spits followed by ONE 109. The second 109 is the camra ship!!

Of course there were 2 Spitfires but only 1 returned since the other got smoked.

Caption to the video clip:

"Take to the skies in a vintage bi-plane for a ride over the scenic coastline. Suddenly, enemy planes attack and the aerial dogfight is on. Get your parachute strapped on as fire is exchanged in this aerial duel of skill."

Bi-plane? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

They show this film in the simulator at Duxford. Much better being lurched around when you watch it.

The 109's are actually Buch√¬≥ns.

The plural for "Buch√¬≥n" is "Buchones". http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I saw this clip on the Discovery channel (I think) awhile ago. Ever since then I wanted to see it again.

Thank you for the find. Now I can use it to break in my headphones abit more.

I think these were real planes. I only say that because if they were computer generated, you'd think they'd throw in some tracers effects.

Please do something about that huge animated avatar file.

Aw no...

Not my soul. =(

Changed to comply with forum regulations, then. I suppose I should pay more attention?

Animated stuff is fine, it's just that one was huge...if you (or someone else) can compress the file to an acceptable size feel free to put it back.

Just watched the vid that's the subject of this thread. The sound effects are awesome but both sides demonstrate deplorable team combat tactics http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, I wouldn't mind sounds like those either. Sound is what makes the game in my opinion, at least it helps a lot to increese realism and enjoyment.

This clip and others like it, probably from the same company was, and probably still is aired on The Discovery Channel. It looked a whole lot better on a 42 inch TV with 5.1 surround. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
