View Full Version : In lieu of more forum BS- Can we have ANOTHER Yak?

Come on! You know you want this version of the Yak-1! It's a Yak-1 Late version. The USSR was running out of plexiglass, so they cut down on the amount used in the Yak....

See how the plexiglass is covered? This isn't an accurate plan, but it gives you the idea.

Just kidding!

Was it ultra rare? Is there a question it even flew? If yes, then it will surely be made flyable while other aircraft that were much more signficant in the wsr will still remain AI only http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Actually, this plane did fly and was more common later in 1941 than the Yak-1 we have, it went that way quite well into 1942.

But with this thread my main attempt is to pull everyone's leg. I don't think we actually need another Yak. This new Yak-7B (1942) rocks much on its own and doesn't need the assistance of another Yak-1 to back it up.

With 2 12.7mm guns and a 20mm cannon, it's a fearsome beast, not to mention it's an early Yak, so its turn rate and maneuverability is buff and agile too.

Retrofish, whoever originally designed that particular Yak did'nt have a clue about aerodynamics!
