I'm looking for something I could compose my own music on my own PC with, rather free but payware also considered.

Something that'd sound like I wouldve got a real orchestra in my living room. . .

Ideas. . .?

Thanks for replies!

I have never heard of such a thing. It sounds like fun to try if anything like that is out there.

I believe that Cakewalk software might have something along those lines. They've got several flavors of Music composition applications - guitar, synthesizer, bass, drums, etc. etc. Not sure about classical stringed instruments such as violin, but it's worth a shot.

Cakewalk has stringed instruments. Its all MIDI stuff. Another good one is Finale. They even have a classical demo on their home page... http://www.finalemusic.com/
