How can I find out info like this? Does anyone know what the P-38's optimum revs are? 30,000 be my guese.

you can see if its in there, or even search under the Allison engine it used. Just see at what RPM it gets the best torque.

Its also my observation that most planes with CSP (constant speed propellers) fly at their optimum torque settings with 100% pitch.
I know there are a handful of planes that require 90% or 95%, so it is worth checking.
