In single player campaign is it commenplace for your AI flight members to respond as if they are ******ed after the Mission accomplished! message appears on screen? Often they just stop engaging enemy planes and turn for home.Even when they have a foe on their 6 shooting them to pieces.
I have several times put my plane on auto just to observe the actions of my squadron and in any scenarios except Leningrad they often fly like they shouldn't be able to feed and dress themselves, let alone operate a warbird.
As I live in a remote area of the Az.desert and am stuck in dial-up hell the single player mode is very important to me. Please, oh please let the patch fix this.I can't send them all to "special school" on my budget, lol

In the SP campaigns, the AI's give ******s a bad name!

I believe the next patch will repair some of that!

BTW, I live in a rural area of middle Tennessee and was stuck with dail-up until last year. I pay $80 a month for DSL,does it suck,YES, is it worth it, you bet your bippy, it is!

Play online, that's where the real fun begins.

Believe me BpGemini I would love to. The problem is that Alexander Bell himself installed the single copper line that runs to this area in the late 18 summthinns. I have turned all settings to min and if I am able to play at all my ping is so horrible that its not long before I get the boot. Rightly so I might add,I don't want to kill the fun for those who have afast enough connection.

Hey man what part of AZ? I live in East Mesa which isnt out there but we just got cable modem in our area like 5 months ago. I'm still on my free 56k though. I dont have the 40-50 a month for cable =\ oh well. Anyway, I dont find the AI is to bad. I dont fire my guns till I'm very close and if I bust a round or two into the plane it goes down not much you can do against that. Oh on mission 10 where you escort some planes as a german fighter, they transport planes crashed into eachother like 11 times before I finished the mission where I lucked out as they all were able to land. I think its funny when the leader says "Four watch your six!" then im trying to get away from a LAGG-3 or whatever and then he says "What the Hell? Stay on the leaders course" I bet if I fly to the next way point the LAGG wont know what the hell I'm doing and will crash into the ground!

Dang that sucks. I feel for you though, my wife and I used to live in an area with no modern connections. Good luck.

AI improves over time. With luck the patch will improve their initial crappiness.

Remote area of the Arizona desert? Sounds cool. I`d love to ask loads o` questions about it- but I won`t /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif !

Sorry about the delay Ironcross.Electrical storms bad this evening. I am about 115 or 120 miles NW of you there. 35 miles outside Wickenburg if that tells you anything. Its literally the middle of nowhere. Downside is no cable, no broadband, no dsl. Upside, you can see every star god ever made from here.

Man, I hope your right, with a few tweeks this could be the coolest game I have ever purchased. What the hell am I saying it is the coolest already. I just long for some actual support from my (ahem cough) flight members, when I am dodging 2 or 3 109's and they tell me I'm clear as they leave me to die alone. LoL
