Last week I was finally clear to fly a few nights with the fellahs. Last Thursday we were in a coop designed by the Infamous and I do mean Infamaous "Windancer". It was a PTO mission that went from Dusk to dark and had a "leetle surprise" in the end for us RedTails.

Well I was flying strike and I got up in my F6F, hit the target, destroyed a couple of bombers and did a great night landing back at the field. Next thing I know the leetle surprise shows up.. Zekes over the field and no Archie!!!!

Now I'm safely down, well off the runway with no lights on (I never mapped em as Klingons don't fly at night... ahem). I'm the lounge having a beer fer goodness sake! But with the cries for "help" ringin' in my ears I climb into my crate again and take off on the Taxiway to avoid hitty any of my squadies.

I get on coms and warn my M8's that I'm coming to help sans lights and not to shoot at me... I'm trying to latch on to this meatball when I see Red Tracers past my cockpit, I roll and dive get hit, rudders and aelierons lock and I spin to an ignoble demise. Over the headphones I hear Smoggy hollering "I got one"!!!! I hollered back "yeah MuthaF**er you got ME!!!"

Meanwhile Dancer is rolling on the floor laughing his *** off I'm in the drink sleepin' with the fishes.. and there was noone I could punch in the nose.. These are the conditions that pervail..

Why is it when I read Worf's narratives, I always hear Samuel L. Jackson's voice in my head?

cheers

What, not the glorious son of Mogh? Have you no honour? You don't know what you're missing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

S! Sounds like a great scene...the fog of war and everything. I once flew a buddy of mine all the way to a big target and mistakenly bailed out, leaving him in the bombardier's seat and cursing bad enough to melt my modem. Oops!

It was eight years ago and he still sends me postcards saying "nooo, not that button!" from his new home in Spain http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Son of Mohg would say:

'It is a good day to die.'

While Sam Jackson would spit out a string of naughty words that get blocked out on forum....

So Samuel L Jackson's voise is the one I imagine too. (Like it or not Worf http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif)

Cool story BTW.

Thanks guys... I'm laughing all over again.. Yes I was laffin' so hard I was crying. It was the only honorable thing to do. A true point ***** would'a stayed safe on the deck. But when a mate hollars for help and I've rounds in the guns I try and do what little (and sometimes it's VERY little) I can... Sigh that's why I love this place and this game.

Thanks for the love Mates..

Da Worfster

PS Shouting "Muthaf**ker" in StovaKor would be interesting...
