Edit: OK, just read announcement on the front page http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. Pity I've discovered this page sa late.

Just found Black Sheep Sqadron on there. (Baa Baa Black Sheep?)
Downloaded over 30 gig yesterday and today.
I only discovered the site 2 months ago and have several people turned on to it since then.
Very sad to see it go. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
Cannot prevent it, so get the best out of it while it is still alive. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The traffic they get from the announcment to the closing of the site must be huge. I mean their traffic must have been huge anyway, but this will cost them a lot. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Quick! There's hardly any time left - What is worth DLing?

I've got all the Hunters in the Sky episodes plus that excellent P-51 doc that TH0R posted on that other forum, plus Fighter Tactics 101 (which is pretty sh1t IMO)...

Quality programmes only (no Dogfights please)- QUICKLY now!!!

P47 fans may want to grab the field-crate assembly video that was at one time up on Zeno's.

The new home of Stage6 WWII videos seem to be here: http://www.veoh.com/channels/History-WorldWarII

The plug is pulled.

Does anyone else suspect the VEOH is simply stage6 with a mask on?

Maybe, but maybe not. I liked the makeup of Stage6 much better, i.e. videos NOT starting when the containing page was opened, the black, blue or white style, in effect the whole thing. And oh yeah the download speeds. I had max with my 16000 DSL.
If that's a mask, it's a pretty ****ty one.

It must have been really expensive for Stage6 to maintain the amount of bandwidth they would have needed to keep that site going.

Being able to download and save was really good though. It gets frustrating watching streaming video with a slow connection. It ends up taking 3hrs to watch a 30min show; and you always have to worry about stalls or discos mid view too.

Got myself enough documentaries to watch now to keep me busy for a year or so.

Bah! Missed it.

Managed to download the Ju-88 doc before the plug was pulled though. I was hoping to download many more over the coming months. That way I could have turfed out all those VHS videos that are stacked in the closet. Mrs. F_IV would have been so happy http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I've been after it every morning and evening after work since tue. I managed to get 50.8 gig downloafed.

Dang would of loved to grabbed BBBS though, noce find.

I got Hunters in the sky, tons of WW2 docementary stuff and a hand full of WW1, and a bit of who shot JFK and some stuff about the Moon.

Keep an eye out over here http://www.veoh.com/ I found it posted over at Stage6 Some of those folks are migrating there.

I know we aren't suppossed to mention the "T" word, but I guess we could get a list of names in a PT and work out some things on migrating the goods around. After all All I grabbed was free Tv at one time or another.
