I understand that some of these references may be easter eggs, but from what I've gathered in the games is that Legion is set in the near future in London after WD 2 and after WD 1. The latter with Aiden Pierce as the main character, who is also an assassin from the Brotherhood who assassinated Oliver Garneu (Probably misspelled) during his escort to a shareholders meeting in Chicago. Also with Abstergo having an abandoned facility in the Himilayas. And Blume installing the Montreal division's security. Not to mention the Assassins who hid a Russian who stole Donald Trump's personal VHS tapes in Montana, who was killed by a deputy acting on the behalf of a CIA agent. Also with the US being nuked by Russia/NK and downing a plane with Sam Fisher in it, later found by the security chief(?) of Hope County.

Wow, that was complex.

So where does Legion fit in this? Like was the US nuked and if so, what sort of state they are in? Are Assassins still finding Eden pieces? Is Sam FIsher alive? You get the idea.

Like stated previously I understand some of these are easter eggs, like the FC5 and New Dawn are potentially just references, simple as that. But I am genuinely curious if some of these actually happened. Like the AC-WD references (The Origins one basically just confirms it). Or some are actually like Leonardo DA Vinci perfecting the cardboard box technique before Snake, or Sam Fisher helping a bunch of alien seal pups. What impact from previous games could we see?

I do not want FC 5 to be canon the ending is horrible and unrealistic.

At most, I think they are Easter Eggs.

The strongest connection appears to be between the AC and WD worlds, but not worth too much deep thought, I reckon.

Ghost Recon, Rainbow Siege, The Division and Splinter Cell all share the same universe, while it's widely believed that Assassin's Creed and Watch_Dogs share a universe or at least Assassin's Creed is a known game series in Watch Dogs. Far as I know, the Far Cry games are by themselves, and unless Ubisoft retcons FC 5 or FC 6 follows the events of FC New Dawn, the Far Cry games may not even share the same universe.

While there is potential proof that the FC5 ending could be fake (Joseph not being in the vehicle when you look back there one point, a peggie US flag, and the chair has a Peggie symbol welded into it), and I would very much like it to be not true so those exotic locations we want won't be harmed by the nuclear winter. But it seems like they're sticking with it.

It's usually Easter Eggs or Cameos. All games have these in some form. Browsing YT you'll find a ton of EE videos.

Yeah, I do tend to look at them quite often. Go on a binge because of it.

Wow, the top poster here really, really came close to my thought of where Watch Dogs 3 Legion would go...

It is really, really close..

I pictured Watch Dogs 3: Legion starting out with things going Global...

& it Ends with the US Government steping up to claim they would give the Group Funding...

Leaving WD4 or WD5 to bring things into a more Cyber World Environment... Type thing...

Which puts WD4 back in the US? & possibly WD4 or WD5 is where things do not go we'll,
& they have to change their tactics, to find new ways to fight this...

Possibly something major happens that changes the corse of things, something bad...

The Top Poster, mentions a Nuke happening? Wow that is not far off from my own thought on the matter...
However while you do have some crazy ground work to work with this idea...

The Watch Dogs have not entirely had such massive Events taken place in them yet, & while it's too soon,
If Watch Dogs is the ones to showcase this happening, & not another Game? How certain are we that
a Nuke is what causes this? Maybe it's a giant Blackout, or some other kind of Tragic Event that
happens instead... & maybe if there is indeed a Nuke, that maybe 1 of those other Games would
more then likely be where it would take place...

Like Far Cry, for instance?

No? I did not follow those other Games, so I dunno really where all this is going, nor was I really
ever considering the possibility they are connected, just that maybe they showcased some kind of
Easter EGG & nothing more... Who knows? Maybe a Massive Land Slide or Large Earthquake topples
a Mountain in the Snowy Regions of STEEP, & somehow that could be connected?

lOl... The Possibilities are Endless... ^__-

But I would really prefer to just have Watch Dogs be it's own Universe, & to not just over think it...

Watch dogs and AC are linked by both OD, AC blackflag, Watch dogs 1, and syndicate.

OD is you played as Kassandra- which is canon -.- , you would have gotten an message stating that she created the animus in the AC movie. Now the protagonist of AC movie, known of Kenways. Who are the only templars that unite abstergo in the future- modern AC.

This links to blackflag, which states the same system was cracked by Aeidon pierce, which is the source engine for the animus that layla created. As it is based partly of the glitch started by Desmond miles. Which is confirmed by aeidon pierce, who claims to have 'worked' with the Assassins for pay. but is not one himself
