I mean, the Borgias is dead and the templars in Italy are more or less defeted. So who is going ot be the main villian in ACR? Maybe someone who betrays the others, or a new person we havent seen yet.

Leave your ideas http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

templars make us believes things that are not right... like in ac1, the guys you killed didn't die in the year the game is in (search in wikipedia for the dates that templairs wanted us to think it was) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Selim seem much more possible as he dies in 1520. Although since he became sultan in 1512, the sultan that came before him (that died in 1512) seems more possible to me.

why should we go after a sultan? Maybe he is a good guy and he is being forced to do things from templairs.... You kill the sultan and he tells you what happened, than ezio says requiescat in pace and the next mission is ezio after the templairs... ezio thinks they are running away but they are going to masyaf (which was controled by them but ezio took the control of it) so that ezio need to stop them from reaching masyaf with their trops so he prepares an ambush http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

From what I understand Ezio needs to find out which Templar has one of the disks needed. We will also be traveling to a Templar city and I'd assume that the main enemy will be the leader there.

It's not sulemane. It says in the Gameinformer that Ezio sees potential in him and that they learn from each other. It sounds like they have a friendship.

hopefully it's someone like the Templars from AC1, the one's who want to control people to force their will, instead of the AC2 villian who just wanted to take over the world

both speak english ;D

and if you think about, the targets in AC1 didn't speak arabic too, but Altair talked to them nevertheless.

Altough they were originally from France, England and Germany.

You may can say, they lived years in the holy land, so they learned the arabic languages in this area, but still questionable.

guys.. i know we really want a strong fierce enemy like the sultan of the ottoman empire but we are allies with the Turks we can even make the gaurds not attack us. from what iv gathered from the leaks we are trying to stop the templars from taking over and rebelling against the Turks and Istanbul. Id say from my historical knowledge of the ottomans the janissaries could the templars. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janissary
they were a really good strong and organized armies that were the best. they were at first very loyal to the sultan and were his personal body guards. yet as the empire grew a lot of people could join so they were many non turks in the army and after realizing their importance they basically took over through coups and made themselves in charge taking what they wanted... after they tried to abolish ( as they were seriously outdated compared to western armies). them they would go to the town centre and start a rebelion. and the brutally killed a Osman II id rather not say how... :/ anyway Mahmud II made a sneaky plan to get rid of them called the Auspicious Incident http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Auspicious_Incident where he secretly seized power and then tried to start a new army so the Janissaries would rebel and then they rebeled in the palace he destroyed their headquaters and got the new army to defeat them in an ambush. but this downfall wasnt until the 1800's so im not sure they are such a thread as an ally.

And the upcoming sultan of The Ottoman Empire should also speak fluent latin. That would make Ezio able to communicate with Suleiman, because Ezio was "the educated one" like Bartolomeo says, and classic latin was a basic part of education back then. Especially in Italy.

He was the leader of the knights Hospitalier, and led them during the siege of Rhodes in 1522, Ezio at that year would be 63 years old.

Suleiman has been metioned as an ally and Rhodes as a location, so I think it is plausible.

This guy could probably be the main Templar in this one.

One of the multiplayer maps is a town that is guarded by the Knights Hospitalier. And they were one of the main Templar factions in AC1. And him being the grnad master of a templar faction could make him a big target.

If it is the Knights Hospitalier i'm guessing it is them that has infested Masayaf when Ezio goes there.

Turkiye96

well even though the Templars and the Knights Hospitalier were allies, they were two different factions so it wouldnt be accurate to put him in charge of the templars and the game is going to go up to 1512 or 1513 from what i hear so Ezio wouldnt have a chance to kill him

BUT GUYS LISTEN!!! ARENT THERE GOING TO BE 2 MAIN VILLANS? SEEING AS WE WILL GET TO PLAY AS ALTAIR AND HE WILL HAVE TO KILL SOMEBODY TOO!

Ezio is good with the Turks in ACR and to enlighten you, the Ottoman empire would select 1 out of 10 children to join either as a scolar (eg. architect or a scientist) or as a soldier ( depending in if they were smart or not) and they would be given to other families to learn the language and cultures... and they would be payed ( very well) to be a soldier. enrollment was manditory for all turks so we werent exactly being bad to other areas... and dude why would the Ottoman empire need armies to kill people in areas that they have already conquered? and dude you do realize Ottomans were very nice to non muslim people. they believed everyone should be treated with respect even if they were a different religion, and back then all empires were against opposite religions ( the crusades anyone?) yet the Ottoman empire would let the population keep their religion ( but they did convert a couple of churches into mosques (e.g the hagia sofia)the fact that the ottomans were nice to foreigners which at that time was very uncommon and yet you say we are bad, i would sugest you stop being rasist or dont comment anymore.

misusel whats wrong with you? ( you have no factual evidence about any of that) NO we did not kill children and women in Hagia Sofia, NO we did not kill for revenge ( we fought against the rebellions as we werenít going to let them take over ottoman lands and kill our people) and as for the genocides, that is a very controversial topic, some people believe that it was and others donít. But all the ottomans did was move the Armenian people as they were starting rebellions and killing people and as they were everywhere they were a huge threat. ( they were joining with the Russians and killing our people and yet we didnít call that genocide but they called genocide when the Ottomans made them move, kind of unfair in my opinion) and we FULLLY reimbursed them ( plus if it was a genocide, there would be no Armenians today). YOU CANT POSSIBALLY TALK ABOUT TOPICS LIKE THIS WITHOUT ACTUALLY CHEACKING THE HISTORY BOOKS AS ITS IS VERY OFFENSIVE TO MANY PEOPLE AND YOU ARE RANDOMLY BLURTING OUT YOUR BIASED COMMENTS WITHOUT ANY FACTS. anyway, yea we took 1 out of 10 children and turned them into VERY WELL PAYED HIGH QUALITY mercenaries ( sure they killed but so did a lot of other empires and mercenaries)or scholars( like doctors or scientists) and given a good education, these jobs that were almost impossible to get at that time. so we werenít bad, ( and yes I agree that The Ottoman Empire has done bad things) you canít expect everyone in a whole empire to be good to other empires yet OVERALL they were a LOT more tolerant of other people from all around the world than most if not all other empires.. Iím sure your country has a bad history as well (pretty much all countries do) and dude donít lie on the forum... there are no picture out yet that show Ezio killing ottoman guards in revelations... and as I said you can make the guards neutral ( its optional)
stop making arguments stop being racist (Iím pretty sure thatís forbidden on this forum) donít you dare insult ANYBODY'S country and get on with your life.
dont be such a hater

On the third day after the fall of our city, the Sultan celebrated his victory with a great, joyful triumph. He issued a proclamation: the citizens of all ages who had managed to escape detection were to leave their hiding places throughout the city and come out into the open, as they were remain free and no question would be asked. He further declared the restoration of houses and property to those who had abandoned our city before the siege, if they returned home, they would be treated according to their rank and religion, as if nothing had changed.
óGeorge Sphrantzes
according to British historian David Nicolle, the citizens were treated better by their Ottoman Conquerors than their ancestors had been by the Crusaders in 1204

I think what is important is that you look forward, and not back. What has been done has been done and cannot be changed ó all anyone can do is try to better than, or be just as good as, their ancestors were. Which of the two their ancestors were makes no difference. Tis the past. Life is the future. To live life you must look forward and carve your own history.

I doubt that, i mean i'm not saying it's not possible but i don't see it being something big for Altair. We only play as him 5 times in the game so that's not enough to build up a good story on who he's suppose to kill and kill him. They could have him on the firt playthrough u found out the target and on the 4 seal u kill the target but the 5 seal would be special

Indeed, please fight out your historical whodunnit-quarrels in private.

Back to the topic:
According to Suleiman's wikipedia page, he was a succesfull warrior who conquered several pieces of land for the Ottoman empire. But on the other hand, he also had lots of interest in education, criminal law and art, namely poŽtry. He could be compared to the Medici-family http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

While Selim I's wikipedia page states that he was a warrior too, he was fond of fighting, and he was also very cruel. He executed his own viziers for example. Nearly nothing is said about his reign, but his death seems similiar to Rodrigo Borgia's. It is rumoured that Selim got poisoned too.

So it would seem likely that Ubisoft has chosen Selim as Ezio's nemesis, and Suleiman as his ally.
