Does anyone have a description of what exactly were the circumstances of Claus von Stauffenberg being shot up in North Africa. I can't seem to find anything on the internet. Like planes involved, that sort of thing, everytime I strfe a column of cars I could be hitting someone of histotical note.

His column was attacked by Spitfires iirc.

No planes involved but mines. So instead of looking up to the sky it would have been better to look down to the ground.

Actually AFAIK it was a combination of both.

He was attacked by Spitfires while in a vehicle, and in the course of attempting to avoid the strafing, ended up in a minefield.
