I have them all installed on a new 32bit unit with no probs. But I had to kind of install manually.
Put the disc into the proper drive, now click on computer and go to that drive letter, open the drive and click on the installer icon for 46 or what ever disc is in anyway there may be 4 or 5 icons there and the installer is the one with the pic of a plane when you hit the correct one the auto installer will begin then just follow the prompts.
I wish I could explain this better but Im not really a computer guy. good luck

Hmm - ALl i get when i start it up is the language selection thing, and then nothing happens apart from Windows telling you that something has gone wrong (der). I may have to try some trckery as you mentioned

try opening computer, then go to the menu in the left hand side bar, click on the drive where the disc is then use the icons that drop down from there

You should probably post this in the "community help" forum rather than general discussion. You will probably get more replies and more detailed help.

I have Ultimate 64 bit. Need to turn off UAC reboot and then install. Go to directory and right click on installer and run as admin. After install go to Il2 config file and changw file propertise from read only. Turn back on UAC and reboot. Good to go. If you have a nvidia card. Get latest driver. It fixes the opengl issue.

Explore the IL-2:1946 DVD...
You should see a file called "a.exe", run that it should install no probs.

BTW does anyone know when the new SST software for Saitek and drivers for TrackIR will be released Vista 64?

We are currently working on the drivers, and hope to have them released as soon as they are available, but there is not release date.

Sounds like 32bit Vista is the way to go right now.

It was told sometime this month. Saitek that is.

Natural point will work just takes some doing. It is the signature certification thing. Have to boot each time with signature off. It works well for me. They are trying to get it certified.
