Don't want to get all metaphysical on you, but there is a special spirit around these planes and some of the men that were there. One man had his log book from 1943, it showed that he had flown 43 missions as a gunner, in a B-25. I didn't know 43 missions could be flown. There were supposed to be 2 B-25's but there was a death in the family of the pilot, or something. Anyway, it was worth the 6 bucks.

Thank you for sharing your emotions with us.
Which museum?
Where?

Some 10-12 years ago I used to go each sunday sailing on a lake near Roma with a friend of mine, both crazy for planes (expecially those WWII birds).
On the lakeside there is a nice museum of the Italian Military Air Force.
And almost each sunday, after sailing, we went there to have a look! But I have no picture, sorry!

Its in Nampa, Idaho USA. The name of the airport it S67 or Nampa Municipal. They always have a different planes in the museum. Right now besides the planes that I took pictures of they have a Fokker Tri-wing and a T-6. It isn't the biggest place, but they seem to be able to bring in planes from all over the U.S. If only for a visit. They also have a merlin and an allison on display along with uniforms and a bunch of other small items. Its nice to stop by every once in awhile. We have an airshow at Mountain Home AFB in a couple weeks, that will be fun too.

Nice pics, thanks. Keep 'em coming. Never heard of Nampa here but then have you ever heard of Frampton Cotterell? Glad to know that you have those great planes there.
Cheers!

Thats the one, but its an M60, and I would imagine the town is now a lot different than when you were here. Its grown up a bit the last 6 years. Micron, HP, and some other companies in Boise and Nampa have really helped turn into a not so backwords town. We are almost a city now. We are the 2nd biggest town in Idaho and we are the fastest growing, not that this says much. One thing bugs me big time about Boise, they think they are the center of the Universe. Honestly, the center.

The close up of the nose art has been locked in the vault, its not board safe.

Glad to know we are talking of the same place. I was actually looking to move to Idaho at the time, and turned it into a vacation with my wife. We stopped in Nampa for some real estate and passed that M60 and I made my wife wait while I took a peek! Unfortunately the whole Idaho thing didn't work out. Wish I knew about your AM while I was there.

Hi Cippacometa -- where are you in Italy? I'm not far from lake Bracciano and the Anguilara Italian Airforce Museum. Lots of great airplanes there! Took some pictures the last time I went. Here are a few:
