At the end of the gameplay video on the link, you see a couple of animus screens, (one says s16) and than after the screens, there is a very strange structure that is just 3 pieces of concrete from what it looks like, but with some sort of Animus loading room or something. It's really very odd with the path leading up to it and all. Any ideas on what it is? It's at 6:28 in the video.

I have a feeling it has to do with Desmond's subconscious. Maybe they were a bit literal about the 'back door of the animus' thing.

I had the same feeling, but it's interesting to me that they would show whatever it is so prominently. They definitely showed it to us for a reason...

maybe behind that door is where Subject 16 is, or is the last door we'll need to enter to wake up... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Perhaps it is the entrance to the Desmond puzzles, and we get to freerun around his subconcious when we're not on the other side of that gate http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I had a feeling it was the Gateway to the "Nexus" that Amancio refers to a lot (Notice how that is two words people) Which we will find right at the end of the game, once Altair, Ezio and Desmond are all in sync with each other.

Most likely something to do with the Black Room, But for pure speculation i'm going to say the door to Eden.

According to the EG preview, it's this:

In a brief trailer showing some Black Room sequences, Desmond can be seen entering a doorway of blinding light on top of a grassy hill, then moving among floating white particles, geometric shapes and vast walls plastered with red writing, or staring upwards into long shafts of light and banging his fists on translucent walls. The Black Room sequences will be more puzzle than platform, and should give us more glimpses into the secrets of the Animus and Desmond's own past.

I have a feeling that will see that door at the end of the game, probably after we find out what those "revelations" are.

Alex Armancio just explained it in a video interview and we saw some footage.

Mate, that is exactly what I think it is after seeing the new trailer thing. I think once he goes through that door, he will come out of his coma.

I suggest you watch this:

I guess it's the entrance to the Animus' Black Room.

I actually think that's it's the EXIT from the black room, seeing as it's white/blue, not black. I think that Desmond will walk through that door and get jolted out of his coma.
