I have a key bound, but every few minutes the *#)U_)#% things turn back on! (I'm trying the Beau at night). Also, it seems that the AI planes have their lights on nearly all the time. Is there any way to always keep the lights off?

Yeah I noticed the AI last night when flying a mission. Does having them on get noticed by the enemy?

The games AI can see you regardless of lights on or off, night or day. Having the nav lights on only makes it easier for RL players to see each other. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Wouldn't it be fair then to force the enemy's lights to be on?

If no planes are highlighted by spotlights, they will still fire, but more randomly. I don't think planes which have their nav lights on can be 'seen' by the ground AI units better then when they have them off. The spotlights make a difference. I rarely see planes get nailed at night by enemy AAA/flak when a spotlight is not focused on them.
