View Full Version : Bass Kickers (Force Feedback)

I just purchased a pair of Aura bass kickers and mounted them to my gaming chair (which happens to be a lazy boy) and connected them to a 70 watt subwoofer amp. What they do is create frequencies that you feel instead of hear. All I can say is WOW! I can now feel the engines vibration, guns rattleing, bombs exploding (me exploding, hehe). It really adds to the immersion.
If you already have a joystick and TIR, this would be the next thing you want on the wish list.
They are not very expensive. The speakers are about 30$ US for a pair online. You can purchase a subwoofer amp or you if you have a spare small amp to push them. They draw 25 watts each and are 4 ohm speakers. You can wire them in a series to make a 8 ohm load. I got mine with the sub amp off of ebay with shipping for 90$ I also found them here:

I thought I would pass this info along as I haven't seen any posts on this topic and these are really cool!

So... do your neighbours also enjoy your gaming experience? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hehe, Yea I guess they do at times! I am also a musician though so they are used to it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I had an idea for late night gaming and try a pair of those 5.1 forcefeedback headphones and the bass kickers, then I would be almost silent. All you hear from the kickers is a humm...very quiet.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif Sounds Mint! My old Pontiac Fiero use to have speakers in the Headrest's of the Bucket seats... and they were Great.
On my computer I use the Klipsch 2.1 set with Sub Woofer... 200 Watts. And they do a Excellent job.
Nice set up you have there though.
