DO you have the latest drivers for your 3D card? the latest DX drivers?
You must set landscape detail in FB to the highest setting (Perfect, i think)
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye
shall be judged: and with what
measure ye mete, it shall be
measured to you again.

believe me.. with the 'perfect' option enabled; NO PC TODAY can handle it. unless you have a budget of +$25.000
you must select OpenGL AND stencil buffer; only then you are able to select the 'perfect' option. make sure you have Maximum settings enabled in the setup program under video

If your video card doesn't support full hardware transform and lighting, you will not be able to see the water effects. If it does make sure taht you have the stencil buffer option selected (only available with OpenGL). If you have all this, then go to hardware settup/video options then click for the advanced settup. Select "Perfect" under landscape detail. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I get about 25 frames if I choose to show off FB (and my new Radeon 9800) to my friends but other then that, "excellent" settings are good enough for me.

Yeah! I also get nice FPS in Perfect mode, at least in multiplayer and QMB...havenâ´t tried it out in campaign though...In the two aforementioned game modes, itâ´s perfectly playable in my rig.

Thatâ´s not true...Iâ´ll try to post some screenies with my Geforce and I bet you will see no difference at all...Fsaa 6X and Ansio 8X...all the stuff.

Iâ´m not talking about FPS (though I get very decent FPS in perfect mode), but I still canâ´t understand why with the same settings (FSAA, Ansio, res, etc, etc) two images would be different...it isnâ´t coherent...Yes, the ATI is faster, but Iâ´m not interested in FPS at the moment...Please Lead, could you explain that to me, cause I fell a little confused...
Thx a lot!

I use perfect details.. my comp: P4 3.3Ghz, 1024 mb Ram, GF4 Ti4600.. and works fine..
Perfect landscape has it drawbacks too.. i often die online, when i admire the water and i keep crashing on the ground /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
IMO 1024 mb Ram is minimum for Perfect detail..
