View Full Version : Question on AI 'advantages'.

OK, if I put all the settings on full realism e.g. limited ammo, overheating engines, realistic gunnery, blackouts etc etc.

1. Do the damned AI planes run out of ammo? I had this Fw-190a on my tail and he seemed to shoot forever!

2. Do their engines overheat? I suspect that gaggle of P-51s chasing my wunderful Me-262 was at 110% all the way for quite a long time.

3. Do they suffer from G-Limits? Them pesky Yaks and Oscars seem to be looping and turning so tight and I keep blacking out when I try to follow em.

4. Do they have limiting Mach numbers? I haven't seem any AI plane disntegrate from excessive diving speeds yet.

I am guessing that the answer to all 4 questions are NO.

Actually the answer to number 2 is yes if the engine has been damaged.

FW190's have so much ammo you should never wait for them to run out.

They have almost unlimited machine guns (I have never run out of MG in a sortie) and loads of 20mm.
