Is it just me or is the FW-190 A5 - A9 back to being a flying pig. They cant accelerate, cant climb, cant turn. again. They do roll well. In patch b they flew great now they cant seem to get out of their own way again. Why?? Please fix Oleg.

Easy just run the full 45 meg patch over the top of what you have and WALLA all is well with LW fighters again.

Happy hunting and check six!

Actually...I haven't noticed too much difference. I largely suspect the circumstance rather than hard data is the basis for the differences.

Some days...with the same patch, I feel like I'm flying two different aircraft. Some days I can wipe out six or seven guys with a FW190A-9 and other days I feel like I'm flying a slug in the sky without wings or propeller.

Now...if something drastically has changed then I'd bet more people would have noticed AND would have measured the changes.

Anyone I've seen online still has marked speed advantages in level flight over almost anyone else. The so called uber La-7's still are outrun by FW190's going full power straight at the horizon.

How great do you think this plane was? Its speed is already overmodeled and climbrate as well. I wont even get started on it rediculously overmodeled DM. The A9 had a topspeed of 408MPH, P47 had topspeed of 430MPH, while the 109K4 had a topspeed of 454MPH. Try catching a A9 with either plane at any alt...its a joke.

The bs is on both sides. A9 is prolly a little fast.

Yak3 takes too much damage, can saw a 109 or even a 190 in half with a short burst to fusalage, and when firing those guns there seems to be NO shake from the guns. Just stick crosshair on target and pull trigger.

Get a g6as with default guns. Point this at your target and watch as the crosshair bounces all over the damn place compared to the yak3.

So yak3 can saw planes in half very quick, takes tons of damage (when compared to 109 airframe), turn like crazy (it's very light), and on top of that it's one of the most stable gun platforms in the game.

This one plane is full of contradictions:

Very small light plane : takes considerable damage
Very small light plane : stable gunnery platform
stable gunnery, light plane : guns do a lot of damage

If the yak3 is modeled right then the 109g6as or g2 has contradictions.

heavier than yak3, 20mm and mgs (weight of fire similar or less than yak3 : shakes like crazy (compared to yak3) when shooting.

Either the yak3 has magical advantages modeled into it or the 109g2-g6as have magical disadvantages modeled into them.

I've never seen any top speed test/material concerning the FW-190A-9 (that is why in FB object viewer it says speeds are calculated) so who knows if it is too fast. The A-8 was capable of 408mph and the A-9 had a much more powerful engine and a propeller that increased climb performance considerably.
