Just wondering if anyone knows how these type video cards fare. With PERFECT WATER enabled in FM2 Takeoff Mission 1 and looking right into the sun, the two other ships, and the two SBDs, I'm getting a framerate of 17. Not bad, but not as smooth as I was expecting

System spec as follows:

Processor - Intel P4 3.2GHz
RAM - DDR3200, 1.0GB
Video - Radeon X300 PCI Express, 128MB
Drivers - Catalyst 4.10
6.14.10.6483, signed 9/29/2004

Thanks in advance for anyone's input.

The X300 is not really a good gaming card. It's basically the twin of a 9200--a budget card.

At the moment, there is no performance advantage between the PCIe and AGP bus. Until the game software is designed to utilize the enhancements PCIe brings, it's up to the card itself to determine performance. Which means you need an X700 or X800 to get the most from your system.

I have the same card Sakai, x300 PCI-E.

Sometime this year before Xmas, the 6800GT PCI-E
is suppose to come out from PNY. Right now the only super grafix card out in PCI-E is the 9800 and the 9700.

I hear the 6600GT is a good midrange Pci-e card. From what I hear the 6800GT shows alot of advantage in PF, so I am going to wait for the PCI-E version.

I dont know whats taking long in getting the 6800GT PCI-E out. Its going to hurt my wallet also, so..... I might go for the 6600GT,

Does anyone have the 6600GT and played PF with it?
