I do have a couple more questions about the updated 3d model, however.... I seems that the Bf109G-6late is the base now but there is some weirdness with the canopy which looks kind of halfway between a 1943 Bf109G-6 and an Erla Haube Bf109G-6Late (the curving struts of the erla haube are there but so is the fixed portion of the old canopy...funky). It is still a WIP though http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Also, the front of the starboard-side fuel tank seems way better now but I would like to know if this is the final texture. This is because all the pics I have seen of the proposed production Z-2 show a rectangular piece sheet metal covering that fixed aft part of the canopy is on the Bf109G-6 (1943). Here it seems as though the bit of glazing is just filled in with metal panes, leaving a diagonal line (when viewed from the side) where the lower sill of the aft canopy would have been. Is this correct?? Just wondering.

Great work though...and I can't wait to fly it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Since there was only one prototype, that never flew and got turned into a pile of scrap before the allies got to it we will never know. It really comes down to conjecture and whatever few photos exist of it.

Unfortunetaly another waste of effort, a shame that a lot of talent isn't used for more constructive work in the FB universe, like on planes that bore the brunt of combat...

Just the other side of seperate teams making seperate Spitfires models!

A little more guidance from 1C would be welcome.

And yes I am aware that this is about community members contributing their spare time and talent.

But soon we'll have a load of exotics with questionable FMs at best and many glaring gaps of planes that should be flyable in the current enviorment of the Eastern Front.
