Rush back with pacific fighters.
Got some problems... Oleg needs to fix this: http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

1. getting the plastic wrap OFF seems incredibly hard! It always happens with games i`m excited about, like the FB/ IL2 series! I had to get a knife to finally cut it and even then it took longer than a minute!

2. Aghhh! How do i unhook the CD without snapping the thing in half?? It`s always stuff on that annoying plastic hub of the CD box. It`s like it`s designed to ruin your hard-earned Simulation! Needs patching.

3. Often i`m too excited to check the CDs when I pop thm in the Cd for install and it always ends up that no.2 ends up in there first, meaning I have to swap discs with all the frustration that comes with it! Why can`t Oleg make it so the No1 CD goes in 1st every time without me having to check?

4. Why must i wait while it installs? It should just install within .05 of a second.

LOL Seafire. Thank you for the advance warning. I've had the same problems you've had with the same games. I was hoping PF would be different.
And this problem persists in a game that costs a whole $40 US and only contains 18 new maps and a bunch of new planes, how could they overlook this?

Pitiful, just pitiful.

>>Checked not a bug. See that you have get a new knife with proper edge.

2. Aghhh! How do i unhook the CD without snapping the thing in half?? It`s always stuff on that annoying plastic hub of the CD box. It`s like it`s designed to ruin your hard-earned Simulation! Needs patching.

>>Suggested that instead of using alone fingers try using eyes too.

>>In same as 2. you are needing to use you eyes more correct. If still experiencing problem after, send track to PF@1C.ru.

>>This not problem when you don't using 486 PC.

Does this mean the package is under or over modelled?

The Japanese developed packaging such as this in 1945 however only 4 copies were produced and they never actually saw combat.

You CANNOT compare Japanese and U.S. packaging. All post-1945 Japanese packages were tested using U.S. knives.

Hi SeaFire,

Great post http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif, like the new pic'.

I wasn't so worried about the packaging as getting it back from the the PC store in town. There are a lot of speed cameras between town and my village. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

seafire liv,

welcome aboard to PF, although i dont have it yet, this is a steep learning curve flight sim wise, but i do have a couple of suggestions.

1. practice PRACTICE practice!- you wont be able to learn everything the first day! take it in small steps, maybe learn to open/remove the CD a few times to get the hang of it... once when you get it nailed, move to another area your having problems with

2. ask some of the others here for help, we have a HUGE data base here with all the posters, your bound to get some proffesional replys. (im SURE there is someone here that spends majority of time opening the plastic off boxes, be it RU, GE, USA... the techniques will be different, but the application is roughly the same.)

3. read the "READ ME" .. im sure it will tell you how to differentiate between the CD,s, so that you put in the right one..SOMETIMES, bt not often the first CD will have a "1" on it , and the 2nd CD will have a "2" on it. see if you can locate those digits somewhere on CD. hopefully that will get you sorted. any other problems please check back with us. you will have answers relatively soon.

:P :P

You've got to use deflection nail shots in short burts or you will miss. Also if you try the MK-tooth to help create a hole at the right place but watch out for the recoil.

2. Aghhh! How do i unhook the CD without snapping the thing in half?? It`s always stuff on that annoying plastic hub of the CD box. It`s like it`s designed to ruin your hard-earned Simulation! Needs patching.

That's the hard part. Try lowering the pitch of your fingers and check your brain rad. It's easy to break the thing i almost did it FB.

****! You must have got the only copy in Leicester!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

I couldn't find a copy in Dublin at the weekend (Too much drink) so just one question for you m8. Does the flaps settings work using a slider (tm. RJB)?

SeaFireLIV
10-25-2004, 08:00 AM
Yea, all that bribing paid off!

Capt.England, dunno about the flaps settings thing. Never had mine setup for that. Well... I did once in FB. Manage to set up my Hurricane flaps to work on a joypad slider (alongside my main joystick) for a while, unfortunately it was erratic. Good luck with getting PF...
