BUMP

and

*please note*

since this is a BRITISH WARTIME publication I feel i ought to mention a copule of things that i neglected to say in the original post

1) do not take anything as solid fact as it may well be subject to propaganda and also innaccuracies due to limited information at time

2) the "inaccuracies" especially apply to non-british planes etc eg - information about russian equipment was particulary vague during wartime.

3) due to the state of communications/printing and delivery articles and information will appear roughly 2-3 months after events take place ( roughly - some may be reported the next week or some may not be published for a year or so due to security)

4) saying all this does not mean the whole article is fabricated or propaganda /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif - this is just a " btw" in case anyone should decide to use this as reference material or cite it for any reason - as far as i am aware i have no reason to doubt any of the things mentioned in the above articles - however i have not bothered to research the accuracy in any depth /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

thank you & hope you enjoy it /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Am I wrong, or does that Beaufighter look an awful lot like the Hs129? I'd like to see a comparison of them side by side. Maybe my memory's just fuzzy....

Does kinda look similar - triangular style fuselage and cockpit is main bit i suppose (also i think both had 4 20mm cannons - well beau definitely did)

also i'll post some links up on here later today to a couple of articles that people may find of interest from this months AR.
