hi matcrush

feels bad man :(

are you using DX12 ??
Please check out the known issue list

if you can't find any matching issue in there, please come back with your system specs
for that, best you can post DxDiag.txt in here

Hi LadyH.

I found the known issue list, I'm using dx11, and I don't think my issue was on the list. The dxdiag I sent to you via private message.

Thank you !

search for engine.ini on your PC
C:\Users\your-user-name\Documents\Anno 1800 Open Beta\config

open engine.ini and change "DeviceType: to "DX11",

hope that helps

Hi, LadyH.

I changed the setting and it's not causing the problem, I've modified the previous reply and sent you the dxdiag, thanks for the help!

don't know if you are running NVIDIA
but there's a brand new driver
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/anno-1800-dxr-update-game-ready-driver/

see
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 630

internal graphics is a known issue

check this way and make clear, Anno is using your GTX 1060

Hey LadyH.

Anno was not on the list, so I added and made sure it was using the 1060, but unluckily it still crashed.

I noticed that though once entered the game from the loading screen, it lagged for a second like a framerate drop then it went dead. I've tried change the setting of GeForce to not limit the framerate and tried adjust to window, borderless window and fullscreen, but the problem remains.

ok, here we go
my search for RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64

try this way

Hi LadyH.

I've run 2 times SFC, first time with tons of errors fixing and second run indicated that no more files need to be fixed.

However, the crash still remains.

"RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 simply means the OS has detected a resource intensive process running which isn't managing its memory very well (it isn't a memory leak, it is "pre-leak", meaning the OS' RADAR function thinks this could become a memory leak."
https://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1322989

Sorry, I can't speak chinese and don't want to trust on Google Translate...
What does it say?

"RADAR is just a testing protocol that sends information to Microsoft.
So if one of those games has issues that trigger the RADAR procedure, you'll see that event.
This doesn't mean that anything is wrong, just that a report is being sent."
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/620417/radar-pre-leak-64-reports-in-event-viewer-problem-with-rams/

It seems like RADAR is just a Microsoft Tool for checking for memory leaks.
If I check the "sysinfo.txt" in "Anno 1800 Open Beta">"data" I find combined 6 entries with "RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64" or "RADAR_PRE_LEAK_WOW64" with "Response: Not available"...

But my game works fine. So I guess it has nothing to do with this RADAR_PRE_LEAK-thingy...

Hey guys,

If you're still crashing, please make sure you've been through the PC troubleshooting steps here (https://support.ubi.com/en-gb/faqs/000025947/Basic-PC-Troubleshooting/).

"Check if your system meets the specifications required for the game"
Well, you are the Tech-Support :b Can his/hers "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.8GHz" run Anno 1800?
It is a few percentagepoints weaker than the minimum requirements. Are those requirements so tight that this little weaker processor can't run the game?

If it's not the processor... I don't have any clues...

You are using Win 7 64 Bit, 8 64 Bit or 10?
You set DX to DX11?
You checked your files with UPlay?
You checked your filesystem with SFC and CHKDSK?

There's one nasty step that was recommended by support... Uninstall Anno 1800, uninstall UPlay, clean install UPlay and clean install Anno 1800... But I don't know if this can help.
I'm sorry, I don't have any more ideas. Just leave a comment with as much information as possible (your system specs and so on), so the support may find a solution.

We would not recommend disabling real-time protection as it reduces the security on your computer. I tested this on our side and did not get this error. I suspect this would mean a setting or configuration in Windows Defender is causing the issue. We would recommend contacting Microsoft Support (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/contactus/) for assistance with Windows defender.

Thanks!
