EDIT - Seems like Yahoo was wrong about the time, 8 - 9pm is the right time, might be different for Wales and Scotland though...

Write up from Yahoo TV listings -

The Ark Royal was sunk by a German torpedo in WWII and lost for over 60 years. After three years of searching, the aircraft carrier has been found and veterans who served on her will be the first to see the wreck a kilometre below the surface of the Mediterranean.

They recall the events that led to the Ark achieving legendary status - the deadly convoys to Malta, and the sinking of the Bismarck when planes from Ark Royal crippled the German battleship.

P.S. TopGear Winter Olympics is on at 9.10 on beeb2 as well http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Although she didn't sink immediately from said torpedo, right ?

She actually foundered whilst in tow to Gib, right ?

So was it damage control, or hasty and improper towing in a combat zone that actually sent her down ?

I saw a similar program about the battle of midway. They found the sunken american CV Yorktown in very good condition, but no trace of the japanese ones.
It was like an time-capsule. May the dead rest in peace.
