Just so everyone knows. There's no change to the acceleration of the D-9 be it the '44 or '45 version in PF.

D-9 '45 and '44 compared to the La-7.

Timer started at 200km/h. Time in minutes and seconds, planes in the order as mentioned above.

D-9 - D-9 - La-7

200 - ST - ST - ST
300 - 8 - 8 - 7
350 - 13 - 13 - 11
400 - 20 - 20 - 17
450 - 29 - 24 - 29
500 - 41 - 41 - 34
550 - 1:00 - 1:01 - 50
560 - 1:05 - 1:07 - 54
570 - 1:12 - 1:15 - 1:00

605 - 2:06 - 2:36 - 1:42
612 - 2:56 - N/A - 2:18

Dive acceleration is also the same. This test is from 2.04, but the D-9, La-7, Spitfire IXc and Fw 190A-4 in PF matches these numbers perfectly.

I dont know if anything changed but after lastnite I do know why so many of you love this plane. I was forced to fly for blue the other nite to balance teams and I jumped in the Dora 44 and my god is this thing a monster. Using manual prop pitch I was just screaming around in this thing. I know from know on if I have to fly blue its not the 109G anymore its the Dora http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I see only one thing wrong with this bird and ofcoarse that would be the view.

Yes she is lovely! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif One thing about PF is that it seems easier to E fight in the D-9. I'm not sure if this is imagination but it certainly feels like it retains E better in turns. It does have a fantastic diveacceleration and a good zoomclimb. In the '45 version(wich feels more competitive now in PF) it is also possible to outfly any pursuer at low altitude(apart from the La-7) thanks to its high topspeed.

Aaaaa, I thought Copperhead had already seen this http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif I bet he will be around to tell "you is wrong" and "the Jug outpaces the Dora."

You've caught the bug. Abandon all hope http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

D-9 is a great machine to have. In PF it seems zippier and smoother to fly than previous editions but its not all that much changed.
