Louis Bellson has passed away.

Saw him play live once. It was a percussive experience not to be forgotten.

R I P, Louis.

Not to detract, but you gave me quite a start there. I thought OUR SlickStick had passed away!

R.I.P.

One of the innovators of double bass drum set- up and technique. Great musician and showman, same class as Gene Krupa and close to Buddy Rich.

This is the second time I have thought a forum member had passed on. Please watch the wording

Edit...Sorry Blutarski. I see that you have already addressed this.

It is just that my heart literally sinks when I think that we have lost one of our own, which has happened in the past.

Damn, I thought it was our Slickstick as well. Sorry about the other guy, but mightily relieved at the same time too!
