View Full Version : Lazy reskin presented as new content?!

So I was looking through unlocked skins and noticed that the recent addition of weapon skins (1 new set per character) for the Lawbringer at least is a mere reskin on old already present standard ones.

Valemon spike- old and not special.

Denali Vale spike- the new addition- slight rescale and recolor, yet otherwise the same.

Similarly, Denali Vale axe head is a reskin of Denali axe head. The shaft is a reskin of the Donesk one.

I'm not sure which are the news ones for other heroes, but I imagine it's the same. Why do you present it as new content, when it's a low-energy reskin?

I'm not complaining about lack of new content. The frequent events bring quite unique skins, outfits and such (despite being an obnoxious grindfest), but this specific case seems like empty marketing. Players would much more appreciate the ability to apply a variety of preset textures to each skin, rather than have an eventual duplicate between wood/dark metal and themed color/golden polish.

Yep. They took random weapon parts and re-skinned them and slapped a 'New' label on em. Very lazy. Much uninspired.

I think the new weapons looks awesome! even if they are re-skinned old weapons... Of the new (event) content i think the weapons are the best. The effect is cool but, if you spam the emotes, it stops after 2 or 3..

They've been doing this for years... add spikes, throw it back out as new. It's only going to get worse for that as we get more heroes.

More heroes = less time and resources per character to design armor and weapons.
