if you think it is too expencive, just check this out:
fineartmodels.com VIIC (http://www.fineartmodels.com/e/model/ships/uboat/default.asp)

and pay attention to price tag.

295$for such a model is practically giving away :-)

They want $2995 for THAT??? It doesn't even have any bloody rivets! Bald as a coot, zero fine detail, painted like it's just come off a Ford production line...yech! Let be be the first...that king has no clothes.

Tuna, if they can get nearly three grand for that I suggest you stick a $10,000 tag on your's.

I'm not complaining, I was just wondering if you had actually sold any of them. You seem to be cranking them out left and right.

Zig, you think that is a lot, check out what they are asking for the Bismark model. 10k? Yeah sure, let me just get my checkbook out.

The Bismarck one on that site is something to behold.

AAAARRRGGGHHH. Should have been building more model planes when I was a kid. I am in the wrong bussiness. Nice model by the way, shame I cannot by it (lack of room, lack of a bathtube)

I'm so glad I don't give a #### what people think anymore. I gave up scale model building when I was about 15 because it "wasn't cool". http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif ..had to have a real 1:1 scale car instead....whoopty doo. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Now, I'll sit in my "shop" all day, play with my plastic toys or my games or...whatever, and not give a flying **** what anybody thinks. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

....it's good to enjoy oneself. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If I would have just kept up with the model building, I probably would have been real good by now. Oh well, it's been fun getting back into it. ....and yes, I fully intend to play with my model U-boat in the kiddie pool in the back yard. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Did you have a look at the Stuart tank? That looks more like a fine-art model. I can't understand their rationale behind the U-Boot, it is a truly awful model. I wouldn't have it for free, and I certainly wouldn't put my name to it if I'd built it. Indeed, it looks like something I'd take to the local pond with a BB-gun under one arm. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
