Gamespot is too biased in my opinion. I chose Gametrailers.

I use gamespot, but most of the time they are innacurate. If You look at gamespot for AC, you'll see it says that PC version comes out this month which is innacurate.(that's one example)...there are many others, So I vote for IGN

Gamespot. Hands Down.

P.S IGN is a reliable source. ( Mostly )

I kinda like IGN... but I allso read on gamestop to get a second opinion!

I always go with Gamespy and IGN, but i prefer Gamespy. They seem to give pretty fair reviews from what i've seen.

11-08-2007, 05:31 PM
I voted Gamespot, but I think you have to stick to their previews. Their reviews are almost always too bashy imo... I remember them being all hyped up about a game and saying how the final build hands-on was awesome and when the game came out it got like 5/10 and all they did was complaining...
I might move my review reference to IGN soon tho...

Gametrailers for me. I enjoy their reviews the most, and their presentation is great. Then Gamespot and IGN are next.

11-08-2007, 07:18 PM
IGN for me all the way ever since Gamespot went to .5 increments.

IGN, ever since Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time, I've been going to IGN http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

And I go to gametrailers for a second opinion and the sweet, neatly organized and straightforward video reviews http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

11-08-2007, 07:26 PM
IGN or gamespot!

11-08-2007, 07:33 PM

11-09-2007, 02:51 AM

11-09-2007, 03:02 AM

11-09-2007, 03:47 AM
Gametrailers for cool HD video reviews and IGN for write ups.

11-09-2007, 03:17 PM
ok I am apparently the only one who likes gameinformer. Just for the record, I like GT too.

11-09-2007, 03:29 PM
IGN all the way

11-09-2007, 03:55 PM
Wow, I can't believe nobody has picked GameInformer, they are by far the most unbiased of all the websites listed.

11-09-2007, 03:56 PM
- Fair reviews. The most important ones.Maybe when You see the review You don`t like, You say: "WTF!GT s**ks, I`ll go buy that game!"
After 3 hours of terrible voice acting, camera and storyline(just like GT said), You know - You was wrong http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
- Fast buffering videos. Not the fastest one, but compare to YouTube.....
- Nice and cool forums. You can find everything there:
from fanboy wars and "AC versus Uncharted"(AC wins every time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif ) to great "What`s you`re favourite MGS dialoge?".
- SD and HD videos.Chose the one You like.
- Comparings games on different platforms.
- BONUS ROUND!Jade on bonus round on 18th nov http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
They are slow sometimes:
The video is 2 days on i-net, and then they post it(BUT in good quality!)
So.....GT for the win http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

dude I must be invisible to the fourm I picked Game Informer

11-13-2007, 03:26 PM
I read as many as I can, get a feel for what the game is about, and then decide.

11-13-2007, 03:41 PM
I dont use just one but primiary Gamespot, IGN and gametrailers!

11-13-2007, 03:46 PM
I use gamefaqs because they're all user reviews, nobody is being paid to review the game and this is only ever a good thing.

Thing is with gamefaqs is you need to read about 3 reviews (low medium and high scoring) before you can get a clear picture. But you cant beat gamers when it comes to getting a real opinion.

11-13-2007, 04:01 PM
I used to trust IGN...but 7.7?.....other sites gave it 9.5 or 9.0 or even better...how can one be so far out there?

11-13-2007, 04:11 PM
I go with Gamespy, and based of their review I think their score was totally fair. I can agree with that score purely on the basis of factual deficiencies of the game without even caring about subjective opinions like the ability to connect or the quality of the story. An assassination game where you don't behave like an assassin, when other games have already invented the wheel (Hitman, to a degree Splinter Cell) simply isn't worthy of a score over 90% like many around here seem to think it is. Hitman isn't even a very good game beyond its creativity in approaching a problem in multiple ways, and I can't be satisfied by the idea that every assassination in AC will consist of me stabbing a fella in plain sight and then running away or killing a bunch of people.

What the heck, a real assassin makes a kill and it either looks like an accident, or no one ever knows he was there. This is vigilante murder.
